Call of the mountain
Liechtenstein Trail: stage Triesenberg with Mayor Christoph Beck
Masescha
I would like to welcome you to Liechtenstein's "most beautiful community" - all Triesenbergers agree on this point without a doubt - a warm welcome!
Admittedly, you will need to work your way up a steep ascent from Triesen in order to reach this beautiful spot little corner. But once you reach the village centre (900 m), you will be rewarded with a fabulous view over the whole country and the Swiss mountains opposite.
Especially in autumn, when the sun is already lower in the sky and the valley is covered with a cloud cover, Triesenberg becomes a magically beautiful place.
This is complemented by the culinary highlights during the traditional "Bäärger weeks". For over 40 years, Triesenberg`s gastronomy has been the culinary center of Liechtenstein during this time.

You see, despite the beauty of the Triesenberg section of the Liechtenstein Trail, a well-deserved stopover "am Bäärg" is worthwhile in many ways.
Before I let you continue your hike, I would like to recommend a visit to the Walser museum. We "Bäärger" emigrated here from the Valais in the 12th and 13th centuries. The Walser museum gives a lively insight into the life of the "free Walser" and the history of Triesenberg village.

And not to forget the Walser fable trail, popular with young and old alike, with its unearthly beautiful stories, fables and legends. Truly a fabulous piece of Liechtenstein.
Now, I wish everyone an entertaining and interesting hike with the "Hagsticker-Huus", the over 400 million year old stone boulder and the ascent up to the highest point of the Liechtenstein Trail to "Hinder-Prufatscheng", one of the most beautiful and idyllic places on the entire Liechtenstein Trail.
