Pfrundbauten

Together with the neighboring parish church of St. Martin, the medieval gatehouses, whose origins probably go back to the 15th century, form the landmark of the community of Eschen. The buildings of the former parsonage and the chaplaincy were renovated in 1975/78. The rooms in the historically significant semi-detached house on the Eschner village square radiate a warm atmosphere. This makes it a unique and popular place for temporary exhibitions, concerts or other events. In 1974, the buildings were placed under monumental protection.
The presentation rooms extend over three upper floors and consist of several rooms, corridors and the prestigious Pfrundsaal (also known as the Knights' Hall in the local dialect) as the center and jewel of the stylish building. The post buildings bear witness to the long affiliation of the parish of Eschen to the Pfäfers Monastery and embody an important piece of Eschner church and community history.
In many exhibitions and events, the people, buildings and landscapes of the parish were brought to the attention of the many visitors for a moment or even longer.
