National Library of Liechtenstein
The National Library of Liechtenstein offers a variety of up-to-date as well as historical media for study, information and entertainment. English books are available in most sections, too. The library invites to stay with lounge chairs and a cafeteria.
The Liechtensteinische Landesbibliothek is the National Library of the Principality of Liechtenstein. As the National Library, its legislative mandate is to collect all publications originating in Liechtenstein, authored by citizens of Liechtenstein, or dealing with Liechtenstein as a subject matter.
Alongside its function as the National Library, the Landesbibliothek is also a research library supporting researchers, students, and other scholars in their knowledge work. It serves not only as a hub for international interlibrary lending, but also as a provider of workspace and infrastructure as well as academic media, databases, and digitalisations.
The Landesbibliothek is also the largest public library in Liechtenstein and the surrounding Rhine Valley region and as such makes an important contribution to Liechtenstein as a centre of knowledge as well as to reading culture and knowledge work in general. For children, young people, and adults, the Landesbibliothek offers a comprehensive selection of physical and electronic media for education and entertainment.
