Made of dark granite, the sculpture is 300cm high and consists of six identical elements, each 50 cm high and inclined at a 15-degree angle.

Gottfried Honegger actually qualified as a window-dresser, before working as Art Director at J.R. Geigy in New York from 1958 to 1960. His first solo exhibition went on show in 1959 at the Martha Jackson Gallery in the same city. He then worked in Paris from 1960 to 1997 and thereafter in Cannes, receiving the Order of the Legion of Honour in 2001. Gottfried Honegger is regarded as one of the most significant artists in Europe in the 20th and 21st centuries.
