Liechtenstein in a day

After arriving at the main bus station in Vaduz, you will be guided through a citytour. Along the way your guide will tell you all about how Liechtenstein is governed by a constitutional hereditary monarchy, as well as about the Princely Family, the country's political and economic development and the local population. Afterwards, you will visit the Liechtenstein PostalMuseum, a popular attraction with many guests visiting the country. The museum is home to rare stamps and a selection of historic documents and machines telling the history of the postal service in Liechtenstein. Special exhibitions are also often held. As a confirmation of your stay in Liechtenstein, you will get the famous souvenir stamp of the Principality of Liechtenstein to your passport.

After lunch, you will start the sightseeing tour with the Citytrain at the bus terminal behind the City Hall. The journey will take you in the old-town area and the vineyards on the outskirts of Vaduz. After stopping at a prime location with panoramic views of Liechtenstein Castle, the tour moves on to the Rhine Park Stadium and then back to the town centre. One of the main highlights is a short visit to the Prince of Liechtenstein Winery, where you can sample a glass of wine fit for a prince. Guests can take their wine glass, decorated with the Princely Coat of Arms, home as a souvenir. Also on the program is the visit to the “old theater” with a view behind the walls of Vaduz Castle.

The tour is accompanied by a personal guide (up to 2 hours). After the tour visitors  have the chance to explore Vaduz on their own. From shopping and dining to simply watching the world go by in one of the cafés in the car-free old capital.
