Cellar Door Tasting

The duration of the degustation is 30 and 60 minutes. For the price of CHF 12 you can taste two different wines. The tasting takes place in the premises of the Princely Winery in Vaduz, which is located directly in the Herawingert vineyard. The degustation can take place in groups of maximum 9 persons. Larger groups only on request.

In 1699 Prince Hans Adam of Liechtenstein acquired the dominion of Schellenberg and in 1712 the county of Vaduz. On 23 January 1719, a diploma from Emperor Charles VI united the county of Vaduz and the lordship of Schellenberg and elevated it to an imperial principality with the name of Liechtenstein. The purchase of the dominion of Schellenberg and the county of Vaduz was ratified by Emperor Charles VI on 7 March 1712. With the acquisition of the county of Vaduz, the Herawingert also passed into the possession of the Princely House. The Herawingert is probably the most traditional and most important vineyard in the Principality of Liechtenstein. With its 4 hectares of continuous vineyards, it is regarded as the core of viticulture in the country. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay find here, thanks to the southwest location and the mild foehn climate, ideal conditions for the cultivation and ripening of the grapes.
