European emergency call - 112
The Euronotruf 112 is valid in all EU countries as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia and Ukraine. A permanently manned control centre can be reached at this number to alerts the relevant organisations such as the police, rescue service or fire brigade depending on the emergency.

The emergency number is valid on weekdays from 18:00 to 8:00 and all day on weekends and public holidays. During these times, calls to this number are automatically diverted to the emergency doctor on duty. During other times, calls are diverted to 144.

Hit a wild animal - what to do?
- witch on the hazard warning lights and stop the vehicle.
- Secure the accident site with the breakdown triangle.
- Call the police, tel. 117
- Be careful, because injured wild animals are under stress and can become dangerous. Do not approach the animal.
- Wait for the police or the ranger.
