Discover Vaduz and Malbun
Welcome to Liechtenstein
You've got a day for our country? Then, for sure, you will have to visit Malbun for as long as you like because our mountain area has a lot to offer. How about a little hike to the Sass lake (takes around 2 hours)?
You prefer something special? In this case we recommend the Eagle Adventure Walk or at least the spectacular birds of prey show of the Galina Falconry Center. The majestic animals will for sure leave a lasting impression (takes around 45min).
Eagle Adventure Walk
Afterwards one can stroll through Malbun to the Sareis Chairlift and get up to the Sareisjoch mountain ridge for a splendid view above Malbun.
It's now recommended having a meal in one of the restaurants in Malbun before driving back to the valley.
A visit in Vaduz is really worthy. The museum mile and sculpture park invite to stroll around and if you're interested in culture, you won't regret the one or another entry in one of our well-known museums.
On your way through Vaduz you'll pass by the Liechtenstein Center. Here you'll be able to get all the information you need about Liechtenstein and can as well use your time to shop high quality souvenirs. Just some steps further there is the Peter-Kaiser-Platz square with the parliament and government building and the national archive as well as the cathedral. Time for a picture!
No stop in Liechtenstein without a glimpse on Vaduz Castle. There's a path from the town directly towards the Castle. Halfway, the panoramic terrace "Känzile" invites to a break and a spectacular view (takes around 40min).
Sareis
Tired legs? Time for a rest: let's visit the Old Cinema at 2pm and enjoy the daily screening of the 20min movie "Princely Moments" that offers insights behind the walls of Vaduz Castle as well as interesting facts about our country.
Some time left? Why not visit the Prince of Liechtenstein Winery at the Herawingert vineyard in Vaduz? With its 4 hectares, Herawingert is among the best wine-growing regions in the Rhine Valley. You'll be able to taste several wines and of course buy some bottles if you like.
Before heading back home, let yourself spoil in one the many restaurants in Vaduz. No matter if pizza, sushi or star cuisine - there's a place for every kind of taste. You'll also find a place to stay over the night in any category you wish.
