Highlights on the Museum mile

In the six exhibition halls of the black cube, completed in 2000, exciting exhibitions take visitors through modern and contemporary art history. The focus is on the state art collection of the Principality of Liechtenstein, complemented by leading temporary exhibitions on international art of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The extension, completed in 2015, houses the important Liechtenstein private collection and includes outstanding works of classical modern and contemporary art.

The Liechtenstein TreasureChamber n displays a selection of treasures from the princely collections, such as works of art, historical state weapons, hunting cutlery and representative gifts from kings and emperors. In addition, take a unique look at the prince's hat, a moonstone from the Apollo11 mission and the Fabergé egg "apple blossom".

The collections of the Liechtenstein NationalMuseum mainly comprise objects from Liechtenstein and regional history. It shows the archaeology, history, art, culture as well as natural history of the Principality. The museum comprises two historic buildings and a new building at its headquarters in Vaduz.

The exhibition space managed by the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation shows contemporary, regional art. High-quality exhibition presentations with interesting accompanying events make contemporary art accessible to everyone.

The Liechtenstein PostalMuseum was founded in 1930 and opened in 1936. It shows the history of Liechtenstein philately and postal services. Since 2006, the museum has been part of the Liechtenstein NationalMuseum.
